McB's Mercantile Ice Cream started with a simple conviction: ice cream should taste like something real. Not factory-stirred, not shipped in from somewhere else — churned right here in West Jefferson, in small batches, with ingredients you can actually pronounce.
Our founder, McB, spent years perfecting recipes before opening the doors on South Jefferson Avenue. What began as a weekend stand at the local farmer's market grew into the shop neighbors now call their second living room.
We don't do gimmicks. We do vanilla bean from Madagascar, local honey from Appalachian apiaries, and fruit picked at peak ripeness. The flavors change with the seasons because that's how the best ingredients behave.
